What is Kindergarten Readiness? 

Kindergarten Readiness is our Pre-K program which provides California's young children with the time necessary to develop the social, emotional, and academic skills needed to successfully prepare them for kindergarten. We want your child to not only be prepared academically for Kindergarten but to feel confident within themselves. We incorporate academics through play and hands on activities that will provoke, stimulate and engage children's learning.

KR (Kindergarten Readiness) is the a kindergarten program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate for your child.

Welcome to our Purple room Kindergarten Readiness

Our Purple room is specifically designed for our 4 and 5 year olds, where we provide a balance between structured routines and activities that encourage individual choice and expression.  We view each child as special, and are committed to meeting their individual needs through the attention of and interactions with our experienced and dedicated staff.
Our Green Room staff works closely with every child's parents, providing regular updates on each child’s progress, and advising Parents  as milestones are reached.

Daily Schedule:

7:30-8:30
Early Bird drop off in Purple Room for all classes

8:30am-9:00am
Morning Greetings, health/temperature checks,  table games, puzzles, inside activity toys.

9:00am-9:30am 
Morning Circle Group Time- Calendar, weather, discuss themes, letter of the week, number of the week, sight words, going over the educational plan of the day and  music/movement

9:30am -10:00am
Outside Time

10:00am-10:30am
Hand washing & Snack Time

10:30am-10:45am
Story Time

10:45am-11:45am
Skill Focus activities/Learning Centers; writing, manipulatives, creative art , theme based activity, science & math, skill building play time, small group cooperative play, and educational games

11:45pm-12:30pm
Outside Time

12:30pm-1:00pm
Lunch Time

1:00pm
Half day pick up

1:00pm-2:30pm
Rest/Nap Quiet Time

2:30pm-5:00pm
Afternoon snack, afternoon activities: playground, arts, crafts, musical instruments, games, auditory associations, songs, dancing, creative movement, science and nature, discussions and discoveries, friendship bounding, and parent pick up.

5:00pm
School closed. Teachers go home to be with their families.
