Our individual classrooms are age specific, and are specially designed to provide a safe, stress-free environment to allow children to reach their full potential. The Learning Tree preschool works with a combination of play-based and academic curriculum. Working in the different areas set all through the classroom gives children the opportunity to learn and grow, having fun and enjoying their time at preschool. We take every opportunity to challenge our students to be themselves, incorporating their personal experiences and initiating a curiosity for new things. This is a natural learning process that allows students to reach their full potential both inside, and outside of the classroom. We believe that this will ultimately provide every child with a solid foundation from which they can build their lives. Every day, and with every child, we commit ourselves to providing that foundation.
All curriculum at the Preschool must help to create for our children a vision of a future in which each child plays an integral part as a doer, leader, and nurturer. We strive to encourage children to develop life-long, heart-felt values and to be sensitive to each other, their environment, and the world at large.

Snacks and lunches:Unlike other preschools in San Diego, the Learning Tree preschool has a designated lunch space separate from our academic classrooms. Here, children are encouraged and allowed to dine with each other in an organized social setting. This indirectly allows each child to learn more about good foods and healthy eating habits.
While the Learning Tree preschool provides daily healthy snacks, you as the parent are responsible for packing and bringing your child's lunch to school.
